President Donald Trump announced that the US military executed a strike resulting in the deaths of three individuals aboard a vessel allegedly transporting illegal drugs from Venezuela in international waters. This operation marks the second military action targeting drug trafficking organizations and narcoterrorists within the Southern Command (Southcom) region. In a statement shared on Truth Social, Trump described the illegal drugs as a lethal threat that is harming American citizens.
In his post, Trump stated, "This morning, under my orders, U.S. Military Forces carried out a SECOND Kinetic Strike against confirmed, highly dangerous drug trafficking cartels and narcoterrorists in the SOUTHCOM area. This strike occurred while these identified narcoterrorists from Venezuela were in international waters transporting illegal narcotics (A DEADLY WEAPON POISONING AMERICANS!) destined for the U.S."
Trump characterized these drug trafficking organizations as a significant threat to the United States, warning that the government would retaliate against such activities.
"These extremely violent drug trafficking cartels POSE A THREAT to U.S. National Security, Foreign Policy, and vital U.S. Interests. The Strike resulted in 3 male terrorists killed in action. No U.S. Forces were harmed in this Strike. BE WARNED — IF YOU ARE TRANSPORTING DRUGS THAT CAN KILL AMERICANS, WE ARE HUNTING YOU! The illicit activities by these cartels have wrought DEVASTATING CONSEQUENCES ON AMERICAN COMMUNITIES FOR DECADES, killing millions of American Citizens. NO LONGER. Thank you for your attention to this matter!!!"
Previously, on September 3, the U.S. military conducted a strike that resulted in the deaths of 11 individuals linked to a drug boat associated with the Venezuelan cartel known as 'Tren de Aragua.'
Trump elaborated, "Earlier this morning, under my orders, U.S. Military Forces executed a kinetic strike against confirmed Tren de Aragua Narcoterrorists in the SOUTHCOM area. TDA is a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization, operating under Nicolas Maduro's control, responsible for mass murder, drug trafficking, sex trafficking, and acts of violence and terror across the United States and the Western Hemisphere."
